Letting Go & Moving On
Three months ago, things weren't progressing very well, and I didn't know why or what to do about it. Looking back, I can now see that I simply wasn't giving myself enough time to relax and enjoy making music. Instead, I was fruitlessly trying to advance my traditional career (aka, my day job) while simultaneously striving to maintain a difficult, long-distance relationship. Fortunately, things have since changed: I am no longer aggressively trying to find another job and I am no longer trying to maintain the aforementioned relationship (we're just friends now). I've finally learned to accept the message sung in the chorus of a song from my youth: “You want it all, but you can't have it”
